PantryKit Privacy Policy
PantryKit is built to be private by default. Your inventory lives on your device and the app works fully offline - we don't run servers that collect your food data, and there is no account to create.
Data Stored on Your Device
The items, quantities, prices, categories and expiry dates you enter are stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device database. This information is not transmitted to us and is not accessible to us. Deleting the app removes this data from your device.
Notifications
If you enable expiry reminders, PantryKit schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated on-device from your own items and are not sent through, or visible to, any external server.
Third-Party Services
- Subscriptions & Trials: If you choose to subscribe to PantryKit Premium, we use RevenueCat to manage trials and subscriptions. RevenueCat generates an anonymous user identifier and processes App Store receipts to manage your entitlement. RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
- Payments: All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. PantryKit never sees your payment details. Apple's Privacy Policy.
Data Retention & Deletion
Because your inventory is stored only on your device, you are always in control of it. You can delete individual items in the app at any time, or remove all of it by deleting the app. Subscription records held by RevenueCat and Apple are governed by their own policies.
Children's Privacy
PantryKit is a general-audience food-tracking app and is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Please review this page periodically for any changes.
